*Please Note -- Do Not Follow the Hwy 45 Detour Route at Weston*

The bridge replacement over Mission Creek at Highway 45 is finally complete! It is now possible to travel directly to the Winery from Weston via Highway 45 -- there is no need to take the detour route. The continued bridge construction to the north of the Winery will not affect your travel from Weston. From Weston simply proceed north on Highway 45 for 7.5 miles and you will find us.

If you are traveling from St. Joe or Atchison down Hwy 59/45 do not take the detour on Hwy 116 through Rushville. Instead proceed south and follow the marked detour route which takes you for a 4.5 mile interesting ride west of Hwy 45 through river bottom farmland and past wonderful wetlands and then back onto Hwy 45 -- look for the beautiful Great Egrets on the water as you pass through -- Very Easy! Riverwood Winery is located along the Missouri River bluffs near Kansas City (approximately thirty-five miles north of Kansas City) midway between the historic towns of Weston, Missouri and Atchison, Kansas, and approximately 2.5 miles north of Snow Creek Ski Area. It's a perfect location for a day trip from Kansas City to visit these wonderful historic towns. Make a full weekend of it and visit St. Joseph and Leavenworth too -- really you could spend a full weekend in each town! Each of these towns has spell-binding stories to tell and fantastic museums, incredible architecture, outstanding tea rooms, restaurants, and first-class hotels and bed & breakfasts.

Riverwood Winery is centrally located between each of these towns on Highway 45, just 7.5 miles north of Weston and 8 miles south and east of Atchison. For more information, see our About Us page.

Riverwood Winery offers free tastings of its wines from the tasting room and gift shop, and has available a wide range of wine-related gifts and products.

The Winery offers gourmet food items which complement our wines, such as cheeses, crackers, deli meats, sausages and chocolates.
